Gaining confidence
Had a few more trips out recently, mostly solo so being carefull and avoiding to many risks.
I've been getting more confident with my upwind turns and I'm feeling happier chucking the buggy around harder and faster though I haven't cracked sliding to a stop yet.
Hit a new beach this afternoon and the sand was a lot looser packed. Made scrubbing speed easier. Getting a few nice fast turns in when I realise I'm sliding around the corners so obviously I pushed harder and was enjoying a few little drifts until I overcooked it and had my first obe ( out of buggy experience ) landed on my feet and dropped to my knees to keep control of the kite and got clouted in the head by the buggy side rails. Luckily I had covered these in pipe lagging recently and I was wearing a helmet.
Can't wait to get up st ouens again and try sliding on a firmer beach. Feel like I need to start pushing myself now.
